English Grammar is based upon many parts, they are very important for the use of correct english. If someone understand the basic parts of english, it wiil be easy to understand the english language. The ‘Pronoun' is the primary part of the english grammar. If you understand all kind of pronouns, it is simple to speak and write the English. We can define the pronoun, The word which is used at the place of noun is called pronoun. For example, he, she, it, I, we, they, you, they are used at the place of noun.Supposing there is a name ‘Husnain' we say, Husnain has completed his annual papers. If we don't use the word ‘Husnain' we say, He has completed his annual papers . We have used the word ‘He' instead of using ‘Husnain'. So the word ‘He' is pronoun which is used at the place of ‘Husnain'. Mainly there are four kind of pronouns, they are subjective pronouns, object pronoun, possessive pronoun, demonstrative pronoun. There are also some related pronoun to these four kinds of pronoun. They are used according to number, person, gender and case. Some pronoun are differently used in modern english, old english and middle english. The pronoun ‘You' is used in modern english and ‘Ye' is used in old english. The pronoun ‘Your' is used in modren english and ‘Thy' is used in old english. In reflexive pronoun, myself,ourselves etc are used. For example, Now she writes herself. We see the case of ‘ I and Me'. In modern english , we can use ‘ I and Me in speaking as ,” It is I “ or It is me. Sometime , me may be used as a subject, The word ‘we' is used is used in both the sense that is plural and singular, in plural form ‘we' is used for ‘ you and I', it may be used I but not you. When we use the word inclusively, we can say,' We can all go to the function. In exclusive sense we can speak like, ‘We mean to stop your mistakes'. |
